On 8 April 2021, HMRC retired its facility to file VAT returns using XML software and only allows filing through the MTD (Making Tax Digital) connection.
With FreeAgent, this option is available to all our clients, as long as you have set up your MTD connection. So if you haven't done that yet, and you are VAT registered, now is the perfect time to sort this out.
