At Focus Accountancy we care very much about our clients, and at this time of the year we would of course like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Traditionally people send out Christmas cards for this very purpose, but we have been doing things a little bit differently for many years now.
Because we are committed to being 100% paperless, we have been sending out electronic Christmas cards via email and social media. This saves not only paper but also money, which we have donated to charities that support the homeless.
This year we are supporting our colleague Noble, who used to run his own restaurant. Once a month he dons his apron again and cooks a meal for homeless people through the Soul Food Project. And Focus pays for the food.
We hope that you agree that this is a great way to help people who need it the most, and if you wish to contribute in any way, or simply find out more about the project, you can do so here:
Here’s what Rosie Satchell from the Project had to say:
“Dear Barry and Noble. Thank you so much for your support of Soul Food meals. We’re continuing to share meals with over 30 vulnerable guests each week. It is amazing to know that we have provision to provide a healthy meal. Thank you for your generosity!
We have a winter appeal running that is helping us provide 300+ meals a week to church groups that are responding to the cost-of-living crisis and opening their buildings as ‘warm spaces’ this winter. You can find more information here:
Caring in Bristol is an amazing charity that works with the homeless and vulnerably housed. More details on their work here:
Once again, thank you so much for your generosity. Wishing you a very happy Christmas on behalf of the Soul Food team.”
We are delighted to help this worthy charity, and our colleague Greg Park will volunteer with Caring in Bristol on 27 December.
So we hope that you will accept our digital Christmas wishes and we do really wish you a happy and peaceful Christmas, and a successful and healthy New Year!
