I have used Barry Adams (Focus Accountancy) as the accountant for my one-person consultancy business and for my personal tax affairs since late 2009. At that time I conducted a review of potential accountants and interviewed several, and to my mind it was a simple choice as he was head-and-shoulders above the others I had considered. I've not regretted the choice and find Barry to offer a very practical, no-fuss but flexible service. I've also found him very proactive and communicative, alerting me in good time to issues and opportunities, and to have good judgment. He also also extremely good value and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone with similar needs to my own.

As two partners ready to start a business, we needed advice and hand holding as much as someone to help us with tax returns and bookkeeping in the future. Focus Accounting exceeded our expectations in so many ways.
Starting from the consultation we have been given a multitude of advice and guidance about so many aspects of our business. As new entrepreneurs, we were concerned about the affordability of an accountant, but taking this step with Focus has already paid for itself and more.
On top of that, dealing with Focus Accountancy is personal - I don't feel like Client #1635 - we're kept up to date with important financial and tax news, and we've even been introduced to some new business opportunities as well.

I previously did my own accounts and now have the peace of mind that I can do as much or as little accounting as I wish along with the assurance that my books are accurate and efficient. I particularly appreciate how Barry keeps me informed by pro actively bringing relevant issues to my attention (tax rule changes, deadlines etc.)
